the girls are here!!!

Amy went into labor last night and had a c-section this morning at 3:30. Gloria Jeanne was born at 3:37 AM, weighing in at 5 lbs 2 oz and was 17 1/2 inches long. Katherine Elaine was born at 3:39 AM, weighing in at 4 lbs 15 oz and was 17 1/2 inches long. They were both crying and breathing at birth, although it took Kate a little while to perk up. They'll spend about a week in the NICU because they are little and to make sure they don't waste calories staying warm. Amy did great, and is sleeping at the hospital right now.
Here are the girls (oh, and the proud dad too!)

Way to go, Team Eddy!!! Congratulations, the girls are beautiful and I bet Noah can't wait to give them kisses now that they have made their world debut. Hope that Mom is doing well and getting a little rest before the marathon feeding adventure begins. :o)

Congratulations! Today is my brother's birthday, too! I had my suspicions when you didn't answer the phone today, Amy. The girls are beautiful! Let me know if we could drop by to meet the girls or see Jen's clan before we leave town. Sending our love...and wishing you lots of rest.

Such cute, chubby baby faces! (even though they are tiny in weight, they look awfully healthy!) congrats to all of you.

Congratulations friends. I'm still in shock that my crazy friend Kevin is now the father of twins plus a toddler. I'm so glad you have Amy to balance things out! I wish you both the best over the next few weeks as you tackle the world of newborns again. You both make fantastic parents and I really can't wait to meet them someday. Maybe a family trip to New Zealand is in store for the five of you!

CONGRATS EDDY FAMILY!!! We are so happy for you! I am still in shock that the Kevin and Amy I grew up with are now parents to not one, not two, but THREE kids. Give us an update on how Amy is recovering when you can...she was more graceful while pregnant with those girls than most people are with just one (me included!).
